35th Panto - 'Robinson Crusoe'
Our 35th pantomime 2009 "Robinson Crusoe" was written and directed by Nick Keane and produced by his wife Leisha.
The strange Tale of Mr Robinson Crusoe and his Amazing Parrot added a completely new twist to the story. Stranded on Starlight Island with a parrot that not only talked but answered back too, Robinson soon discovered hidden treasure through the mysterious man Friday living on the island with the delectable islanders but who was not all he seemed to be! All ends well when he is rescued by Gwendolyn his beautiful girlfriend and her friend Violet, Alderman Grabbit, her father who certainly lives up to his name,Cedwick & Wodwick, the bumbling duo led by the evil look-a-like Pirate of the Carribean, Captain Creep and his mother Fanny Crusoe. But all ended happily ever after as all good pantos do when Robinson and Gwendoline marry after a somewhat surprising ending.
All the cast, backstage crew, wardrobe, make-up, lighting, sound, front of house, and not forgetting the band and Musical Director worked together and produced yet another fantastic performance.
